Oconomowoc River
A pleasant and beginner friendly trip that provides a hybrid of lake and river experience. Paddle along sensationally clear flatwaters in a mix of temperate development and natural wetlands. The destination is a large dam that maintains water levels for Oconomowoc Lake. The water exiting the dam is spectacularly clear as the river heads to the next body of water, the Oconomowoc River on route to Fowler Lake. This paddle has one potential portage that has been described as “like going around a beaver’s dam”. Among large quantities of water lilies this tour provides an opportunity to observe diverse wetland habitat and its inhabitants, such as fish of notable size, crawfish, heron and more.

Oconowomoc Sunset Paddle
A comfortably paced, early evening adventure that provides a prime view of the dazzling lights of prolific downtown Oconomowoc. Experience serene wetlands, lush vegetation and the lively sounds of the wetlands prior to dusk as we embark-on our tour.
